Increasingly, people are seeking alternative methods of symptomatic hayfever relief. People are less inclined to use drugs. This is also the case in hayfever and other forms of allergic rhinitis, where many of the conventional treatments (e.g. antihistamines) can cause side effects, interact with other medication or be contraindicated (e.g. breast feeding). Even the non-sedating drugs are sometimes not tolerated. They are also expensive and in some people may not even help. We have developed an acupressure band, which stimulates an acupuncture point to help with hayfever-type symptoms.It can be used on its own or as an adjunct to drug therapy.
